Hello Rebecca, we were just discussing ur wedding over dinner, Kristi is with us.....anyways, i just want you to know that EVERYONE (in the WHOLE family) is confused about whos invited to what.... we r not sure besides the ceremony whether there is a tea and then a dinner(potluck), or there is JUST a tea and then everyone goes home???? no one knows what they r invited to....so thats why no one has RSVP'd.....so maybe email everyone the schedual of the day and whos going to what.....then ppl may be able to let u know who can go to what.... and does anyone bring lawn chairs????
hope to hear back soon!

i sent back this:
hi family,
not REALLY sure why there is confusion about the invite.
ceremony: 2pm (get to the ferry for the 1:00 or 1:30 ferry)
pot luck tea reception: after. (litterally, the ceremony ends, people eat)
my assumption is that people will go home around 6. or you can leave whenever you want.
there is no dinner (no dinner on the invite, no dinner...right?)
everyone is invited to "everything". all my dads brothers and sisters, thier husbands and wives, and their kids. the people named on the envolope are invited.
the green sheet, and this page on the website speciflicly says "finger food" "hors dourves" and "appitizer", with examples of what to bring. along with the words "sweet or savoury", and "casual". (the main invite also says "informal")
if you needed lawn chairs i would have put lawn chairs.
thanks for letting me know you where confused. no one else has let me know.
rebecca
and got this from my aunt:
No one wanted to bother you. We aren't that close. I asked Kim to clarify for us. She couldn't.
Firstly, you specifically told the kids they '"weren't" invited. In person!!!!
Therefore, when the invitation came, it did indicate that you had a reception and ceremony, and that we were invited to a "tea".
Voila, there is how the confusion began. Looked like, we (meaning everyone on the envelope) were invited to the potluck, and that perhaps later there was a "reception" for your immediate family.
Thank you for clarifying.
