the new plan, stan
ok, so after searching for a job that is a 9-5er, pays well and will mostlikely give me maternity leave and have benefits i realized i am so not qualified for anything like that. if i knew some one, or had an in, it would be different.
anyway, back to the plan.
no, back to this afternoon when jason came home from an appointment with a debt councelor all sad and mopey (understandably) with the news he can't bankrupt his student loan for another 5 years. that was the start of the gloomey afternoon. he gets all down onhimself for choosing the wrong career. anyway. i stert to look for a job on workopolis. it's an awesome site if you have something specific in mind. i look for receptionist, and data entry and entry level and all that fun stuff. every job, even data entry needs somesort of training or experience. i have none. well, i took excell a few years back, but havn't used it since and i may as well have saved the money. i break down. how are we ever going to get forward? all i want to do is open my cafe. thats it. and maybe make t-shirts and bags and stuff for fun. and have a baby. we can scrap togetehr rent and food. yay. not much left to have half of what you are going to ask the bank for.
right back to the plan.
we decided that instead of my working in a factory or as a cleaning lady we will use my dads "wedding present" of $4500 (money he was saving to give me at 35, and is being oso kind to give me at 27...) to go to school for some receptionist skills. some sort of certificate will help a whole lot.
that will happen next fall. now we have a year to get by and save for the wedding. hopefully jason will be able to start school for nursing in the fall too. still don't know where that leaves me for babys of cafe, but its a start.
i got my hair cut! yay! by erika and it's wonderful. i need to see them more.

sounds like a smart plan.
couldn't a staffing agency help you out with finding a temp/not-temp clerical job in the meantime? lots of glendony people get jobs that way with no experience and toronto is a gold mine for agencies.
Mr. Cleland is playing that game now, I think if you need info...
